FAQs

What types of video does Yateman Cinematics produce?

1

We produce brand films, corporate communications videos, documentary-style content, government and public sector productions, non-profit stories, promotional videos, and event coverage. Every project is story-driven, we focus on real people, real places, and real moments that connect with audiences.

What makes Yateman Cinematics different from other video companies?

2

David Yateman brings over 20 years of broadcast and film experience to every project, including a background at a Kingston local TV station and a production assistant role at ET Canada. The work is cinematic in quality but grounded in storytelling — not just technically polished, but emotionally resonant.

Do you only work in Kingston?

3

No. While we're based in Kingston, Ontario, we regularly produce video across Eastern Ontario, Ottawa, and Quebec. We've worked with provincial government agencies, national brands, and regional organizations throughout the corridor.

What size of organization do you work with?

4

We work with organizations of all sizes, from local Kingston businesses and community non-profits to large government clients like MTO Ontario and Hydro One Ontario, and national brands like Yellow Pages Canada.

About the Process

How do I get started?

1

The easiest way is to use the contact form on the Tell Me About Your Idea page, or call directly at (613) 214-1597. We'll start with a conversation about your goals, your audience, and the story you want to tell.

What information do you need before giving a quote?

2

It helps to know: what the video is for, who the audience is, roughly how long you need it to be, when you need it delivered, and whether you have a budget range in mind. No need to have everything figured out, a conversation is enough to get started.

How long does a typical project take?

3

It depends on scope, but most corporate and brand video projects run between two and six weeks from initial brief to final delivery. Documentary and longer-form projects have longer timelines. Rush turnarounds can sometimes be accommodated, just ask.

Do you handle editing and post-production as well?

4

Yes. Yateman Cinematics handles the full production process, creative development, filming, editing, colour grading, and final delivery. You work with one person from start to finish.
