Based in Kingston, Ontario, David Yateman is a filmmaker, storyteller, and the Founder & President of Yateman Cinematics. With a background in Broadcasting, Television, and Media Studies from Mohawk College, David has built a career around turning brand values into visually compelling, emotionally impactful narratives.

His passion for filmmaking began in high school, using his parents’ camcorder to create imaginative and often hilarious short films. Today, that same creative spirit drives his work as he partners with businesses, non-profits, and community organizations to produce story-driven content that inspires connection and action.

Through Yateman Cinematics, I collaborate with organizations, brands, and communities to shape stories that build trust, reflect identity, and leave a lasting emotional impression. I’m a cinematographer focused on story-driven documentary and brand films that centre real people, real places, and real moments.
